{"id":682,"date":"2016-10-28T11:15:27","date_gmt":"2016-10-28T09:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icad.tcm.cmmi.tuiasi.ro\/?page_id=682"},"modified":"2016-12-22T09:49:27","modified_gmt":"2016-12-22T07:49:27","slug":"the-conference","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.icad.tcm.cmmi.tuiasi.ro\/index.php\/the-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"The Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The International Conference on Axiomatic Design (ICAD) series is the traditional meeting point of the worldwide Axiomatic Design Community since 2000.<\/span><\/span><b> <\/b><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since its first edition, ICAD conferences have been held in Cambridge and Worcester (MA-USA), Seoul and Daejeon (Korea), Lisbon (Portugal), Florence (Italy) and Xi\u2019an (China).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 11th anniversary of the International Conference on Axiomatic Design will be hosted by the Department of Machine Manufacturing Technology at Gheorghe Asachi Technical University, Faculty of Machine Manufacturing and Industrial Management in Ia\u015fi-Rom\u00e2nia between September 13-15, 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"margin: 0px; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Axiomatic Design was developed by Professor Nam P. Suh at the MIT\u2019s Department of Mechanical Engineering, by the end of the 1970s. Axiomatic Design <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">can be applied to the design of products, processes, projects, systems and it <\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"margin: 0px; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">is a systems design theory that uses matrix methods to systematically analyse the translation of customer needs into functional requirements, design parameters, and process variables.<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"margin: 0px; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It has been called one of the most important engineering developments of the last hundred years. The two axioms of Axiomatic Design are: maximize the independence of the functional\u00a0requirements and minimize the information, or complexity.
